COWRA REGIONAL ART GALLERY
WELCOMES NEW DIRECTOR
Brian Langer
General Manager, James Roncon said Council
is
pleased to welcome
the new Director of the
Cowra Regional Art Gallery, Brian Langer,
who
commenced his position at the beginning of May.
“With over 17 years experience working as an arts
and exhibition
manager and curator, and 10 years experience as a regional gallery
director, Brian will
be a significant asset to the Gallery,” Mr Roncon said.
Prior to his appointment at the Cowra Regional Art
Gallery,
Mr. Langer
was Director of the Tamworth
Regional Gallery
and Tamworth
Powerstation Museum.
During this period he also managed the
exhibition and national
tour of the Tamworth Fibre Textile Biennial,
Australia’s most prestigious
national exhibition for contemporary textiles.
“It is a privilege to be appointed Director of the Cowra Regional
Art
Gallery and an exciting opportunity to be
part of the cultural life of
Cowra and the region of Central West NSW,” Mr Langer
said.
“I am enthusiastic about the future of the Gallery and
look forward
to continuing to develop and provide an important focus for the
community through the presentation of significant local, regional
and
t
ouring exhibitions, events and activities,” he
added.
