The union of two disjointed totems into one via their apex is a bold statement referencing the compromises and compassion required in any form of reconciliation – ranging from the personal to the cultural and political. Both totems share similarities of composite geometric forms, material, patina, height and sense of mass and visual strength. Their separation is simply the space in-between. Their union is through an apex bridge – certainly a metaphorical statement is being made.
