The rock formations of the Monaro Region in NSW have a presence and monumentality about them which is captivating. They are not dissimilar to the rock formations in the Cowra Region. As massive glaciers made their way across the continent during the last ice age the boulders were transported, deposited and weathered. I would imagine they are of huge significance to the First Nations people of the area and personally, they feel like sentinels watching over this ancient land.
