Artist Statement

My work is a combination of the real and the imagined where feelings not facts dominate my work. The marks in my work are completely spontaneous and intuitive. I am interested in the distillation and reconstruction of my subject in search for a new pictorial truth. Ultimately the invention and unity of the work is what matters most.
