Artist Statement

This urbanscape piece takes the viewer on a visual journey through the use of a matrix of colours, shapes and mixed media, recording snippets of numerous walk rituals and memories, in a suburb loved by the artist.  Within this piece, architectural and iconic references are cleverly composed to include signage and pattern as well as historical detail such as the perfect cutting from old newspapers which invites nostalgic memories and conversations.
