Artist Statement

Reg Mombassa is a famous artist and musician who inspires many people including me. He is a friend and we studied together at NAS many years ago.

After doing lots of drawings and small studies I decided to paint him in Lismore. Because of the Fibro architecture in the town I thought Reg looked very interesting standing in front of this particular house. It's a very Reg building and Reg is very much himself in this painting.
