Artist Statement

My still life practice is an honouring of the beauty found within the ordinary and everyday of my life.  A celebration of joy infused moments, represented by objects that hold sentimental meaning and are memory evoking because they were gifted, inherited or collected at significant times.  Books, ceramics, plants, the seasons and harvests from my garden, all informing the composition, alongside the technical aspects of light, shadows, reflections and negative space.
