Artist Statement

I have been fascinated with the ocean since I was a child growing up in Central NSW on a sheep and wheat farm. I am constantly drawn to it and have always painted about the culture that surrounds it. This painting is of the pedestrian crossing from the beachfront where I live, to the local surf shop which faces one of the best surf breaks in Australia.
