Artist Statement

The mezzanine of this delightfully trapezoidal studio is my favourite sketch club perch, where I draw and paint both the model and my fellows as they work. The eccentricity of this space is amplified by the floor patterns, the yellow cable safety straps and the radiators surrounding the rectangular dais. These components created a fascinating visual fabric into which to weave my figures both from my imagination and my drawings.
