ANZ Young Archie Competition - CLOSING DATE EXTENDED

The deadline for entries into the ANZ Young Archie Competition (Cowra) has been extended to 8 April 2022. The Cowra Young Archie competition is open to budding young artists between the ages of five to 18 years in the region from Bathurst, Blayney, Cabonne, Cowra, and Orange, to Weddin and Hilltops LGAs. Schools in these areas are encouraged to participate and teachers are invited to contact the Cowra Regional Art Gallery for more information.
There are 4 categories:
- 5-8 year olds
- 9-12 year olds
- 13-15 year olds
- 16-18 year olds
One winner from each category will receive $50 provided by the exhibition sponsor ANZ Bank
All works entered will be included in an online exhibition on the Gallery website. Also, a selection of works from each category will have the honour of being exhibited in the Cowra Library from 22 April to 21 May 2022.
The Cowra Young Archie Competition is a unique opportunity for young artists in the region to showcase their talent and also be involved in a prestigious portrait art prize.
The competition will be judged on merit and originality and the winners of each category will be announced at a special launch on Friday 22 April at 2pm.
