Calleen Art Award 2024 Finalists Announced

The Cowra Regional Art Gallery is pleased to announce the finalists of the prestigious Calleen Art Award 2024 for painting worth $30,000 in prize money.
The Calleen Art Award is an acquisitive art prize open to Australian artists including emerging and established artists, and made possible with the generous support of the Calleen Trust. The winning work will join the Calleen Collection housed at the Cowra Regional Art Gallery.
Since its inception in 1977 by Cowra Art Patron Mrs Patricia Fagan OAM the Calleen Art Award has celebrated contemporary art practices and fostered originality, creativity and excellence in the visual arts. This year the Calleen Art Award will feature an exciting range of 48 compelling artworks selected by a panel of art professionals from over 250 entries.
The Calleen Art Award 2024 Judge is Richard Perram OAM, Independent Curator and former Director, Bathurst Regional Art Gallery (2004 – 2018).
The Calleen Art Award is a “must-see” opportunity for art enthusiasts, and visitors can vote for their favourite artwork in the People’s Choice, announced at the end of the exhibition.
Exhibition dates are 28 September to 17 November 2024.
