World Heritage in Japan: A photographic exhibition

A collection of stunning images from World Heritage-listed sites, encapsulating the beauty and diversity of Japan’s natural and cultural legacies by renowned Japanese photographer Kazuyoshi Miyoshi, including Kyoto’s Kinkaku-ji (Temple of the Golden Pavilion), well-known for its impressive adornment of gold leaf; the Genbaku Dome (Atomic Bomb Dome/Hiroshima Peace Memorial), a sombre reminder for world peace; and the water-submerged otorii gate on the island of Miyajima.

This exhibition is presented by Cowra Regional Art Gallery with the support of the Japan Foundation, Sydney, as part of the Cowra Prisoner of War Breakout 70th Anniversary commemorations.

Italian POW Heritage Display

This commemorative display of Italian POW heritage items includes artworks from the Gallery POW collection and rarely-seen heritage items on loan to the Gallery. This exhibition is presented by Cowra Regional Art Gallery as part of the Cowra Prisoner of War Breakout 70th Anniversary commemorations, with the support of the Cowra Italy Friendship Association.
