Visit the Keiko Amenomori-Schmeisser: A Journey in Textiles exhibition with your sketch book. Take inspiration from the work of Australian Japanese textile artist Keiko Amenomori-Schmeisser, who specialised in Japanese textile techniques, including shibori.

From 6.30pm, exhibition Curator, Peter Haynes will talk about Keiko Amenomori-Schmeisser: A Journey in TextilesLearn more about the influences of the artist's Japanese heritage as well as the Australian landscape on her highly individual aesthetic.

Studying the work of other artists has long been an important way to learn new techniques and discover more about your own mark making style! Drop in anytime during 6pm to 8pm. Pencils, graphite, paper and sketch books can be taken into the gallery. The Nguluway Room will be open to make a cuppa and chat with other art lovers. Basic materials will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own journals and materials. No experience is required. All abilities and ages are welcome.
